Most Grand Slam Titles - Men's Singles

For years, the race for most grand slam titles in men’s singles has been a three way battle between three of the greatest male tennis players in history: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Novak Djokovic. Djokovic, who clinched his latest Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open, now stands at the top of the pile with a staggering 24 titles in total and with Nadal and Federer both retired, it seems extremely unlikely that he’ll ever be surpassed.

That said, a young spaniard by the name of Carlos Alcaraz recently picked up his 7th Grand Slam title at the 2026 Australian Open and became the youngest man to complete the Career Grand Slam. Last year he joined Rafael Nadal as the youngest player to achieve 5 Grand Slam Titles, faster than both Federer or Djokovic, and is well on his way to challenge for the record. Fellow Next-Gen star Jannik Sinner, who clinched his fourth Grand Slam title at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships is also a favourite to challenge for the record.

Most Grand Slam Titles - Women's Singles

In women’s singles, Margaret Court holds the all-time record for most grand slam titles with an incredible 24 titles to her name. Serena Williams looked the most likely to equal or surpass the record after winning her 23rd title at the 2017 Australian Open and surpassing Steffi Graf. However, the American failed to win a slam in her final four attempts before retiring in 2022. While it’s still early days in her career, Iga Świątek has already picked up her 6th major title at the age of just 24 and feels like a serious contender to reach top of the list.
